I’ll tell you right now, it hadn’t been easy. It takes a great deal of talent to be able to choose a place to stay wisely. Most people fail and they end up spoiling their holiday for no apparent reason. Why? Because most of us don’t know what we really want in life. So, take a wild guess what happens when we are about to choose among hundreds of hotels. It’s chaos!

My skills and experience were tested this April, while I was planning my holidays in Corfu. It was a real challenge to be able to decide where I would spend my precious holidays, being so far from the place I had never seen before.

My first question was “where?”. Corfu beaches are all so wonderful that it proved hard to select just one. But I did. I chose Ipsos beach for many reasons. First of all there were many hotels in Ipsos to choose from. A greater variety always offers more choices. Then it was the amenities. Although I do appreciate a quiet holiday, I prefer to have some restaurants and bars nearby. I do not want to have to drive to get a drink or a snack. I do that all year round at home. I need to relax, to be able to get everywhere on foot. And Ipsos offers all that combined with one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

I booked and stayed at the Corfu Secret Hotel, after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The location up on the hill was perfect, not too close to all the fuss and not too far, hence the great view. The price was right and the hotel looked really nice. My choice proved ideal. The staff was very kind and professional and this was very important since I was travelling alone. It is always so good to feel welcome. Thank you guys, I loved it.
