The thermometer has risen above 40 degrees C these past few days and there seems to be nowhere to hide. The A/C is now my best friend. But wait … I am in Greece! There is always a beach nearby.

With Greece being one of the top travel destinations on the whole planet and us feeling so hot during August, the peak season, … well, it is not an ideal situation if you have not planned ahead. However, do not despair because there is always a way for the distressed traveller in Greece. If the islands are already full there is always the mainland. Wonderful seaside villages in the Peloponnese, in Pelion, in Syvota, in Parga and Preveza that are trully breathtaking.

And stop worrying about the heat because no matter what, soon enough the cool winds will blow again over the Aegean and the Ionian Seas.
